Our Vision

EVANGELIZE

"And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” -Matthew 28:18-20

The primary mission of Mt. Zion is to effectively reach the lost by proclaiming the gospel. Whether by giving, going, or sending, it is our desire to ensure every ministry is gospel-centered.

EQUIP

"Now the God of peace, who brought up from the dead the great Shepherd of the sheep through the blood of the eternal covenant, even Jesus our Lord, equip you in every good thing to do His will, working in us that which is pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory forever and ever. Amen." -Hebrews 13:20-21

"And He gave some as apostles, and some as prophets, and some as evangelists, and some as pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ; until we all attain to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a mature man, to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fullness of Christ." -Ephesians 4:11-13

The ministry of Jesus is not simply something carried out by the pastor or staff of the church. Rather, every member has a responsibility to minister. Therefore, utilizing the model set forth by God's Word, we seek to equip every member for ministry by the preaching of God's Word, intentional discipleship, and active partnership.

ENGAGE

"As each one has received a special gift, employ it in serving one another as good stewards of the manifold grace of God." -1 Peter 4:10

One of the initiatives Mt. Zion has begun is "Every Member in Ministry." It is our goal to have every member of MZBC serving in at least one area of meaningful ministry.  Further, we want every person to engage in the life of the church, whether that be in a bible study, Sunday school class, music ministry, or leadership!

ENCOURAGE

"Therefore encourage one another and build up one another, just as you also are doing." -1 Thessalonians 5:11

"and let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds, not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more as you see the day drawing near." -Hebrews 10:24-25

The purpose of believers assembling together for worship and service is so that we may mutually encourage one another as brothers and sisters in Christ, running the race together!
